Rules

Bière de Rock is an AHA sanctioned beer competition open to any amateur homebrewer age 21 or older. All entries must be Belgian- or French-inspired beers.

Entries

All entries must be handcrafted products, containing ingredients available to the general public, and made using private equipment by hobbyist brewers (i.e., no use of commercial facilities or Brew on Premises operations, supplies, etc.).

If a beer is entered into a subcategory that is not specificially Belgian- or French-inspired as defined by the 2021 BJCP Style Guidelines (such as Historical Beer, Brett Beer, Experimental Beer, etc.), the entrant must provide further information as to why the entry is Belgian- or French-inspired (e.g., yeast selection, Belgian or French base style, etc.).

If a beer entered into one of these subcategories does not specifiy the Belgain or French inspiration or if supporting information is insufficient, the entry will be judged, but will be disqualified from medal contention.

All mailed entries must be received at the designated location by the shipping deadline - please plan for and allow for sufficient transport time. All entries will be picked up from drop-off locations the day of the drop-off deadline after the indicated deadline time.

The main competition sponsor and organizing club, the Rock Hoppers Brew Club (aka RHBC), is not responsible for mis-categorized entries, mailed entries that are not received by the shipping deadline, or entries that arrived/received damaged. Entry fees are not refundable.
